First Lt. Bruce Lawrence’s Funeral Procession Will Come Through Easton Tomorrow Morning

Tomorrow, at about 10 am, First Lt. Bruce Lawrence’s funeral procession will come over the Free Bridge from Phillipsburg. It will be a procession of an estimated 2,000 motorcycles and cars following a horse-drawn carriage. He was a Phillipsburg High School grad and a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War. His jet was shot down over N. Vietnam in 1968. His remains were discovered in June. Tomorrow they will be brought home.

I have just been told by Mayor Sal Panto that the City has secured the parking lot behind the Gov. Wolf Bldg. on Larry Holmes Dr. for anyone who would like to come down to watch the procession and pay your respects. The lot will be open at 9 am but you MUST leave by noon. Otherwise you risk your car being parked in. Thank you, Mayor Panto and the City for arranging this.
